Burundi being a landlocked country but blessed with rich soil, great climate and fresh water provide it all it needs to produce a fine coffee. The varietals used in producing this coffee are Bourbon, Jackson, Mbirizi (Arabica). The coffee is grown at elevations inbetween 1500-1800 metres above sea level. When roasted lighter you should produce a clean cup, with wine like body, with nuanced acidity and grapefruit notes.
